We deliver culturally immersive, participatory programs that bring traditional Korean arts directly into Houston-area schools, community centers, and cultural institutions. Our programs are designed to build cross-cultural understanding, develop artistic skills, and create lasting connections between diverse communities and Korea's rich heritage.

• On-Site Korean Cultural Classes
  Han Narea delivers hands-on cultural education directly in schools and community settings—from single-session introductions to multi-week residency programs. Students engage with traditional Korean dance, percussion, costume, and customs through age-appropriate, curriculum-aligned instruction led by trained teaching artists. These programs serve Title I schools, underserved communities, and diverse student populations across the Greater Houston area, removing barriers to cultural arts access.
• Professional Korean Performance Workshops
  Han Narea brings professional traditional performers directly from Korea to lead intensive master-class workshops in Houston. Participants learn traditional dance techniques, Samulnori percussion, and instrument skills from accomplished artists who have dedicated their careers to preserving Korea's performing arts. These rare, direct-from-Korea workshops give Houston students and community members the opportunity to train under real professionals—an experience typically only available in Korea itself—bridging geographic and cultural distances through hands-on artistic mentorship.
• Traditional Korean Class Tuition Scholarship
  Han Narea provides tuition scholarships for school-age students to participate in our ongoing traditional Korean arts classes, ensuring that financial circumstances are never a barrier to cultural enrichment. Scholarship recipients learn traditional dance and instrument performance, participate in public performances, and develop confidence and cultural literacy through sustained, structured engagement with the arts.
• School Festival Performances
  Han Narea brings traditional Korean performances to school multicultural festivals, assemblies, and community celebrations across the Houston region. Our performers present traditional dance, Samulnori drumming, and Hanbok demonstrations that transform school events into immersive cultural experiences—sparking curiosity, fostering respect for diversity, and creating memorable moments that deepen students' understanding of the wider world.
• Traditional Dance and Instrument Classes
  Open to adults and community members of all backgrounds, Han Narea's ongoing classes offer hands-on instruction in traditional Korean dance and instruments, including the Janggu (장구, double-headed drum)—a centerpiece of Korean percussive tradition with roots stretching back to the Goryeo Dynasty. These classes build a sustained community of learners who go on to perform at Han Narea's public events, creating a self-sustaining cycle of cultural education and community engagement.
