Houston Korean Festival - Hanbok Photobooth
Opportunity for the community to try traditional Korean clothing and take photos home. Han Narea brings professional traditional performers from Korea to the main stage at Houston's largest annual Korean festival, showcasing traditional dance and percussive music alongside taekwondo demonstrations and a hanbok fashion show. KFest at Discovery Green is free and open to all ages, drawing thousands of visitors each year to experience Korea's cultural heritage firsthand. -
Museum of Fine Arts Houston - Arts of Korea Gallery Celebration
An annual partnership with the MFAH to celebrate the first gallery dedicated to Korean art in the American South. Han Narea brings professional performance groups directly from Seoul—such as Samulnori Newdot and the all-woman percussion group Dori—to perform traditional Korean dance and Samulnori, a percussive music style rooted in village and farming celebrations. The evening includes a guided tour of the gallery, traditional Korean light bites, and is included with museum admission. -
Korean Adoptee Cultural Roots Festival
Annual event bringing Korean adoptees and their families together to connect with their birth heritage. Han Narea brings traditional performance groups from Korea to perform at this special gathering, hosted at venues such as the Asia Society Texas Center. The festival includes a complimentary meal and informational resources provided in partnership with the Korean Consulate General's Office and 325 KAMRA to assist adoptees interested in family search or Korean citizenship. -
Houston Discovery Green Lunar Festival
A free, family-friendly celebration of the Lunar New Year at Discovery Green in downtown Houston. Han Narea performs traditional Korean drum and dance shows alongside other cultural groups on the Anheuser-Busch Stage, with food trucks, an Asian marketplace of toys, arts, and cuisine, and live music rounding out the festivities. -
Museum of Fine Arts Houston Winter Festival
Korean cultural experiences during the MFAH's Lunar New Year programming. Han Narea contributes traditional performances and cultural demonstrations as part of the museum's wider winter celebrations, bringing the beauty of Korean heritage to one of Houston's premier art institutions. -
Asia Society Texas Center - Galleria Luna Festival
Performances at Asia Society Texas Center celebrating the Lunar New Year in the spirit of Gayeon—a joyful, destined meeting through shared culture. These sold-out Super Saturday events feature vibrant traditional dance, Samulnori percussion, and hands-on activities for families and audiences of all ages, with complimentary access to the Explore Asia exhibition.
